Hmmm...

I got a PSP- 3000 for christmas and loved using it for the first month or two and now I just lost interest in it, what can I do to make it more enjoyable? I am pretty newb at this stuff so if you could point me to places and tuts that can help me I would appreciate it.

Well, What have you been doing wiht it so far? Playing games? Watching movies? There's alot of good games out there. I use mine to connect to he internet when I'm not at home (If I'm around a wifi spot). Also, do you use it to listen to music? Do you know how to make stuff for it? Maybe learn how to make portals, wallpapers, themes- All of which we have tuts on here to show you how. Plus- all of those can be used by everyone, It makes it fun when you do that stuff and you get feedback from everybody. You just have to unlock it's full potential. Of course that means that you can downgrade it and put custom firmware on it, but I wouldn't do that just yet

Before when I used it alot I normally just played games and surfed the web, I have an mp3 player so it is easier for me to use that for music. I have Hancock on there right now that I ripped from the dvd and I have a Nation Treasure 2 UMD.

The only game I have now is just FFVII. I had StarsWars: Force Unleashed but I completed it.

I have some themes on there... other than that I don't have much going for it. For portals do you need CFW? And can you put CFW on the PSP- 3000?

For the time being the 3000 is pretty much unhackable.. you might want to wait a while before trying anything.

also later 2000's are unhackable atm too..

but hey; a lot of cool UMD's are coming out for the PSP. and if you like Final Fantasy; I suggest picking up Final Fantasy on UMD along with Final Fantasy II; They are fully remastered and awesome. You can also get MGS Portible Ops and MGS Portible Ops+

Also soon Little Big Planet is coming to the PSP

For alot of portals you don't need cfw- I have a couple and I'm on ofw.

And just check and make sure it's for OFW. I'm pretty sure most of them are

well here's some news... i got a Star Wars PSP Slim (2000) with 5.00m33-6! CFW! soo
brush up on your CFW cuz i have it hacked ,and the 3000 is now hacked..
just not stable enough for public release

The Star Wars and Kratos 2000's are hackable; the later piano black 2000's are currently unhackable.

Portable Ops Plus is an online expansion, and lacks a story mode. Only buy this if you want to play online.

If you like music games, get DJ Max Portable. I have been playing it for almost a month and totally addicted to it. I just unlocked 6 songs on it, so I should be playing it for the rest of the year lolz!! (I have 57 songs, but I heard there is 60).
